whipped dog 30mm silvertip.any thoughts?

I just pulled the trigger on one of these...was wondering what some thoughts on them would be...I have a restore with one of larrys knots, a 24 mm I think...and its a nice brush, But i dont have any "nice" or "high end" brushes yet...

I enjoy by 30mm set at 55mm, it is a great all around brush if not a bit of a lather hog (gotta load longer to get enough product). It can't be beat for the price and depending on your preferred lathering method you can have it customized for cheap.

I have one and like it quite a bit. I went lower on the loft 50/52mm, if I remember correctly, very soft and luxurious feeling with nice backbone.

My thoughts on a WD 30 mm. I want one. Maybe in a few months when things settle down on the home front. My wife thinks I have a brush problem.

I bought a 33 mm WD knot and one of their resin handles last week. I drilled it deeper and have it temporarily set with hot glue at 47MM loft . The
knot measures 33 mm diameter. I have only used it once; it felt good, held a lot of soap and certainly was not floppy. I'll try it again in the next couple of days and report back.
I also have a WD 30mm Black knot set at 50.5mm; definitely too short, I'll try it at 53 next.

Mine came in today and I did some test lathers: two with Proraso soap and one with cream. Nice backbone but soft as silk on my face. I finally see what all the fuss about silvetip is about! The resin handle is weighty and chunky. It does take a slight different technique than my boar brushes to lather. A little badger smell but not bad. Overall, a beautiful brush.

And it's a monster! My Omega 10049 works just fine lathering in my little Chinese rice bowl but to paraphrase Chief Brody, "You're gonna need a bigger bowl."

It is superb for face lathering, and very good for the bowl. I think that I will leave it as is, however it would be more attractive with a shorter handle. Once I get my camera back I'll post a picture.

That would be great!!

I got my new 30/65 whipped dog brush in today!!! I love it!! It's a gorgeous beast of a brush!!! This has got to be the best bang for my buck that I've spent...at least since the $17 toggle I found on the bay anyway!!! Lol

Ocar that brush is gorgeous. I'm getting one and have asked to have it drilled to 20mm. Do you find that brush to be a little scrubby? Just what resin color is that handle?

I especially like that turtle.
