Which witch hazel?

Try saying that three times in a row!

Anyhow upon the great advise available here I want to try out some witch hazel products but just not sure which witch hazel to get. I'm limited to what is available online and can get most of he thayers products. However I want to get one that does not have too strong a smell as I prefer to use my Tobs sandalwood cologne or ed pinaud clubman bay rum. So just wondering what would be your suggestions for a fairly non scented thayers product.

It doesn't have to be completely non scented, just one that's not going to intrude upon aftershaves and colognes. I guess I could wash it off after leaving it one for some time if it will still offer all the positive aspects of witch hazel?

Cheers,
Steve.

Why not just go to the closest drug store and get the cheapest generic Witch Hazel? The smell leaves as soon as it dries. You can also spray just a bit of your cologne into the much larger WH bottle to neutralize the smell as well.

You can get a large bottle of Dickensen's WH for $3 anywhere.

Thayers makes unscented WH. Me? I just use Dickensen's. As seattleshaver said, the scent dissipates as soon as it dries, so it is not a problem.

Unfortunately here in Ireland the local drug store or chemist as we call it doesn't supply any witch hazel. I've been in lots of them and none of them seem to have it. I guess ill try the unscented thayers. Didn't realise they did one. Thanks.

Even my cucumber thayers is nice for the 10 secs the scent lasts for. I can't imagine it interfering with subsequent things.

Just in case it helps...in drugstores here the Witch Hazel isn't in the shaving section. It's in the section for women's facial products.

I use Thayer's unscented with aloe every day. I expect the bottle to last at least a year. Nice stuff for about 3 cents a shave.

When I first started DE shaving I used alum blocks but not for long. I the past months what I have enjoyed is a nice cold water rinse after shaving followed by a splash of witch hazel. After I get dressed I'll then apply one of the Nivea balms.
I agree with the posts above suggesting getting whatever cheap witch hazel you can find in the drug stores or wherever. I have a bottle at home and a bottle at my girlfriend's house and I couldn't even tell you what brand they are and they work great.

Cheers guys. Well I've ordered some of the unscented thayers so should be interesting to see what it's like. Thanks for all the replies.
Cheers,
Steve.

I've had great success with the Lavender Thayer's Witch Hazel, the scent is not too strong and like others said it goes away quickly.
