Which tech is this?

Hi Guys,

Here's my latest haul, Two british techs.

The cased one I'm trying to date, and having some trouble.

Apart from the colour, the case is the same, however my razor is different to Achim's link:

What you have is a Fat Handle Tech.

I don't have any experience with dating English made razors.

I do not have a date for you but a few things come to mind.

The bottom plate of the head looks like one from a 50s ball end tech. This razor could be a "Frankenrazor"

Also Achim has said that his reference page is not complete.

the Tech with the etched cap is from the 50s. I know this case only from the 40s. Maybe it gives more matches with different Techs. How looks the baseplate of your other Tech?

Here it is.

Both raZors whilst bought from the same shop, came from different cabinets... so I dont think they have been swapped, at least not recently...

your second Tech is from the 40s and it looks like he is the right one for your case
