which new slant would you recommend - 37 or 39?

I am interested in trying a slant and am curious, for those who have tried both, which they prefer.

As a little background, I have an EJ89, a Tech, a 2011 R41 and a Mergress. My favorite of the bunch is the Mergress. I like the size/weight of it and get a great shave. I'd really like to try a slant but am looking for some opinions before deciding on which handle to go for. Any thoughts? (Other than to buy both)

If you like the mergs weight the 39 would be your best option. If you dont like a longer handle than the 37. If your happy with the stock handle on the R41 the 37 wouldn't be far off.

As above, it all boils down to what you prefer in terms of handle heft and length. Both the 37C and 39C are wonderful razors. Good luck!

I have big hands and do like the weight of the 39C. It is one razor i will not use any pressure on due to the weight exerting just the right pressure.

I like a heftier feel, so I would go with 39C. I used mine yesterday and it was terrific.

I have the Mergress with the XL knob and i to love it, So if you like the Mergress XL go for the 39c I have it and love it, its Very Smooth like the EJ89 just more efficient and the added weight of the 39c is Perfect.

+1. I've had both. When I knew the slant was a keeper, I sold the 39c and got a gold 37c. I could get the same shave from either.

I have a Coles slant, guess it's equal to the 37c. With reference to mine I would say the 37c is a good choice.

If AD goes according to plan, you will soon get the 37C as well!

If AD becomes more malignant, as in my case, you will get backups of each, ... just in case!

Ok so i was shaving today and found that if i held my progress at a slight angle (not against the skin, but in relation to the blade being slanting vs m hand position, where it is normally at 90*) My neck shaving was 9000x better, no nicks, no burn, no weepers, etc. I was set on 3. Is this more or less what a slant razor provides without the arm Yoga? If so i am gonna get one ASAP.
