Gotta vote for the barber's notch. Almost square, but safer and a more elegant profile IMHO.

The only razor toe that I ever cut myself with
was a round point. It was a long time ago. I don't remember
exactly why it happened. Maybe I thought I didn't have to be as careful.

The toe of anything will bite. I prefer them primarily for the look. They look more finished to me.

I like to judge each blade on it's own merits. Balance in design and profile are important to me, so it depends on blade width, grind and tang style, I take everything into concern actually. In other words, an 8/8 round point shoulderless on a thin tang would not be a good look to me, and a 4/8 wedge with a barber notch would look strange, I think, That said, I would not pass on those blades. Overall though, I think a typical square point is the least interesting to me most of the time.
