They're both excellent. I can't really criticize either, but I love the knurled handle on the Feather and it just feels better to me. The Pils is great, too, but I end up using the Feather more.
I have the feather, and I agree the handle, weight, balance and design are supurb. It also shaves beautifully, which makes me wonder why I'm going to buy the Pils. Wait, I know! I'm a compulsive twit who always thinks that the perfect brush/razor/blade/cologne/aftershave is the one I do not have.........
Once I get both Pils and Feather in a two week side by side, I'll give you a more informed opinion.
Perhaps not many on this forum own either of them. These are luxury items. Although both razors are beautiful they are expensive. $160 for the Feather and $230 for a Pils is lot for the average razor buyer.
It would be interesting to see the number of Feather and Pils sold since their introduction.
Each user, razor, and blade combination will have different successes and woes. I think what works for one will not work for the other. IMHO, kind of a moot poll.
i am going to have to source a tech to try to see how close it is or isn't to the feather. that will hopefully be an easier find than putting down the cash on a Pils.
anyone have a reasonable grade tech that they will let me borrow that I could make a comparison to the Feather? can't hurt to ask...
