What's new

Which is/are your FAVORITE Lather Catchers?

The Swedish made C.V. Heljestrand Kindal, very sturdy razor that shaves nice and close.

Out of all the LC razors that I own it has to be the Gem Junior Bar. It has beaten almost all of my SE razors I only have 19 at this point. It matches my Gem Damaskeene open comb in how smooth and thorough it shaves.

I have 2: a GEM Jr. Bar (Damaskeene) and a Yankee Co. The Yankee is much more aggressive than the GEM. The Junior Bar is my favorite SE and quite possibly my favorite razor.

Mine is Rhodium plated (ocrazorman, off ebay). It is my daily driver and I an seriously considering unloading the rest of my collection that gets very little use now...

Well GREAT pictures posted by you all. I am still new in the lather catcher business but I must say-I have indeed waited far too long. I only have the sets that Galhatz and DrumZalot posted here but I am still in awe. Just the sheer looks of them..
Any more obscure LCs out there to look for..?

OMG, that's gorgeous! Makes me want to replate my badly brassed Jr. Bar. Was the original plating Ni or Ag?

I have no idea, you could ask Dave... actually all three known replaters names are Dave:)
I like the work Ocrazorman did,
KronaCruiser is very popular as well.
(Stay away from RazorEmporium).

You have one ridiculously beautiful Gem LC razor I bet it shaves smooth like butter very nice.

The Gem Junior Bar is my favorite razor and I use it every day. Unfortunately, most of the older lather catcher models were really designed for "wedge" blades. Some of these will accommodate a "modern" type of disposable blade, but I haven't really found one that, using a "modern" blade, will shave as well as the Gem Junior Bar razor, which was specifically designed to use the "new" disposable blades.

Regards,
Tom
