Which Ink To Purchase?

So I'm looking at buying two kinds of ink. I'd like a green color for personal use (going to purchase another FP next month as a daily use) and a black for office use. Which inks would you suggest? I'd like something that is vibrant with the green, doesn't dry out, and works well with different nibs. Thanks guys.

For an black, I primarily use either Montblanc Mystery Black or Parker Quink Black. They are my daily workhorse inks for when I need black.

For fun green, I'd suggest Diamine Meadow since shades ridiculously well.

Aurora black, in my opinion. It is a very deep black.

I haven't found my perfect green yet, after the demise of Penman Emerald.

If you like green, 5OS is a nice black with some green in it and a portion of the sales goes to support our own Sue Moore Memorial Fund.

I'd like to have a true green, that stands out without being to bright. A classic Irish green would be nice as well.

I loved Penman Emerald, when it was still available.

Since the demise of Parker's Quink green I use Rohrer & Klingner Verdura, a nice bright cheery Irish green. R&K inks are well behaved and pretty inexpensive.

Mat be darker than you are looking for but my favourite green is Sailor Jentle Epinard. I have not found a black that may be considered 'the one' but Aurora Black has been the blackest black so far. Of course YMMV.

I have the following blacks:

Waterman Intense
Pelikan Brilliant
Noodler's black
Aurora.

I find the Aurora the darkest of the lot. I love Aurora ink in my Waterman pen.

Great suggestions all around. I ordered a sample of most of them this morning...and a Lamy Safari just because (the onset of FPAD?). Thanks for all the suggestions guys!

My go-to green is PR Avocado, but that might be too dark. How about Noodler's Cactus (not the Cactus Eel)?

I must be in the minority in finding Aurora Black just not intensely black enough. Much prefer Diamine Onyx or some of the Noodler's...

I'll be ordering another pen next month and, with it, some ink samples. I'm defnitely going to keep coming back to this thread for ideas. Thanks!

I've tried a number of greens and finally settled on PR Sherwood green. Not too bright, not too much black, but a deep forest green color.

Like me some green inks. My favorites are dusky greens like Sailor Epinard, F-C Olde Emerald and those with brown elements such as PR Avacado. I have also mixed my own batch of Pelikan Olive composed of Black, Brown and Green. Diamine Salamander looks awesome so I am waiting on the release. I have to admit that the green of Diamine Meadow isn't my favorite but the shading is so interesting that I have been using it a fair bit.

Rethinking your request ... why black for the office? In general, do you think anything else than black or blue would be too informal for the office?

I am using green ink on cream colored paper (notebook) today in the office, and I think it looks great. However, I could imagine that it would be too "frivolous" for certain business environments.

It's funny how some offices work.

Some guys here are required to use black ink ... some, blue. Some guys have a hard time wrapping their heads around any colour ink other than black. (Ponder, for a moment, that a good blue-black FP ink, or a dark green or brown for that matter, can be 'darker' than many "black" ballpoint pens, but oh well.)

I get to pick my own ink colours for work, so I can and do use whatever tickles my fancy.
