Which Garmin should I get?

Check out the January 2009 issue of Consumer Reports regarding their picks for the GPS in the car. Garmin wins it, but they come with advertising now!!

Seriously? Well, that sucks!

If I had to replace my 60CSx I would seriously consider one of those.

The 60CSx is my go to. It works well in the car for mapping routes and is small enough to haul all over God's creation hiking, camping, geocaching etc.

I went with a Garmin Nuvi 205w, it worked well on my last trip. Such handy devices.

I'm not a very technical guy, and it's very easy to work with, so that's a big plus in my book.

But you have to be looking at it all the time to even notice it! It's not like commercials on the TV.

Go thing you went with the the wide version. I ended up getting a 250W. The smaller screens were terrible and I would hate to try to look at that tiny screen and drive at the same time. Kind of like chewing gum and walking, almost impossible.

I have the Garmin Street Pilot C330. It is a great unit. It is a little bulky. The batteries are soldered in. I have had it for over 2 years without any problems.
