Which filly?

Ok, picked this up on the bay the other day. Was a bit of a risk, no real info and only a couple of pics. Turned out to be a winner - just shy of 26mm so a full 8/8 and no rust on the blade. Now I've looked everywhere but can't find which Filly this is. As you can see, the blade was never stamped and the tang only says Filarmonica and Jose Monserrat Pou. No made in Spain or anything else so I would like to know if you guys might have an idea which model it is.
Just honed it on one of my jnats and it has taken a mega edge, will shave with it tomorrow.

Cheers fellas, have been looking for one for a while and then two arrived in my post box on the same day. This is the one I'm keeping though - looks hardly used. Just how I like em.

That's super.. Makes me want to troll eBay more often. These definitely take wonderful edges.

I have a similar that only has the reverse tang made in Spain .. No maker mark.

I'm not sure that its too recent. From what I know they dropped the Jose monserrat when he died but the scales aren't old old.

Its not part of the more recent fili doble temples that's for sure.
My novodur has no 14 stamp but it does have a novodur stamp and JMP.

I have not seen #14 DT Novodour, but I have seen #13 DT Novodour, I am not sure what their nomenclature was though. I think it is safe to go by the blade style when guessing the Filarmonicas

Paul I emailed a friend in Spain-the Graybeard of Filarmonicas.

He said it is most likely a Filarmonica Especial, they were the precursors to the DT and are not stamped on the other side of the spine as they were not meant for exportation.

They usually do have Gold wash.

This is a picture of the one my friend owns

He said your was likely cleaned up a bit

Cool, that's Alfredo. It, like the rain on the plain, came from Spain. It's cool to know what type it is but it shaves wonderfully. The jury is still out whether I'll keep it or not, I'm building a belt grinder and it could be the difference between an 8 inch contact wheel and an 8 inch and 6 inch wheel!
