Which brush of these 3?

You could probably use any of them then.

I found the Vulfix very floppy and had to work much too hard to pick up soap.
I also scrub the lather on my face in circular motions and then use painting strokes to even it out. The Vulfix is much too floppy for this and I could only use it with painting strokes.

The Omega is incredibly soft and luxurious. It's also a little floppy, but not as much as the Vulfix. It tends to be a little bit of a lather hog and I had to squeeze the brush to get all the lather out. I also had to use a little more product since it holds a lot of water.

I still own and regularly use an X2L. It's a great all round brush with lots of backbone. The tips are soft, but not as soft as the Omega. Mine is an older model with a higher loft than current specs, so it works as well for creams as soaps and for bowl lathering as well as face lathering. The loft on the current model is shorter and might be a little scrubby if you're looking for a soft brush.

You might also want to look at a Rooney 3/1 in Super Silvertip for $75. It's also a great all-around brush and the tips are slightly softer than the X2L's. It is a lather hog though.

Of the three, I'd favor the Omega. I own two of their Silvertips and they're a great brush.

I would go for a Rooney 1/1 Best. It is the same price as the Vulfix and is one heck of a brush for the money.

Well the thing is I am ordering from west coast shaving and those are the 3 I came up with. I like to order from the same place rather then from 2,3,4 different places.

BTW is there a discount from WCS anywhere?

I would go with the Colonel X2L. I've heard they're great brushes. I normally stick to silvertips only, but I've been tempted by that very brush. Also try BANDB if you buy from WCS. I think that it will take some off the Simpsons brush.

What do you mean by try BANDB?

Yeah I'm sorry I didn't specify that better. BANDB is WCS's discount code they use periodically for specials, and it's supposed to also work always on Simpsons, Dr. Harris, and Lothantique.

Is there a section with a list of all the site sponors along with their discount?

I just went with west coast cause of the sample pack...but if another site offers that I should check them out right...

Here's a list of sites with discount codes and how much the discounts are. It isn't by any means a complete list. Check the Shopping and Deals subforum to look and see if there are other vendors with discounts.

Free shipping from West Coast Shaving on orders over 80 though as well. Not sure where else you're looking at or anything else. Still undecided I take it?

Yeah been shopping online places for best deals on what I have already chosen excluding brush lol...Plus it was like 3, 3, and 3 votes for the brushes on various sites but now after posting at shavemyface add 3 more to the vulfix...

The beauty of this whole shaving thing is the variety of products available to satisfy a wide variety of users. I prefer the Omega 6211. This has been my daily brush for almost 3 years. I have several more expensive brushes, many of which have been lauded by the more esteemed members of this forum, however, I find the Omega suits my particlar needs and desires in a shave brush. I use it with soaps and creams and have no complaints whatsoever.
