Where to Get Corks for Corking

As the title says, where do you get your corks for corking blades?

Also, what else have you used to "cork" a blade? I've read of some people using polystyrene and shot glasses...

Shot glasses don't seem "corklike" at all.

And does a cork shot glass have a handle?

I've tried corking . . . does not do anything good for me just dulls the blade. Perhaps I was using a cork from the wrong vintage . . . no 1967 Ch. d'Yquem in my wine cellar and I'm not paying sixteen hundred rasbucknicks to address this lack.

Hmm, I just finished a bottle of Glenfiddich Solera Reserve (only took 3 years) and saved the cork. I guess I'd better replenish my stock so I have a back up cork ready.

Some hardware stores or craft stores have corks. I have some I got from work that were used to cork test tubes.

Try the Ch. Gilette creme de tete, the official sauterne of B&B.

Buy a friend a bottle of wine and ask for the cork back.

This would be worth it just for the quizzical look you would get.

Screw caps got cork?

Ah just use those boxes those cubes of plastic bladdered wine comes in, and you'll be golden!

I don't cork blades (I want sharper blades, not ones that are more dull!)

If you are not a wine drinker, why not pick up some Sparkling Cider? They have corks.
