Where to buy a shaving mug

Have you checked your kitchen cupboards? There might be a treasure hidden in there. Unless you're looking for a specific logo or something...

Thanks moonshine, I'll try there!

I just checked and we had a bunch of mugs but I'm hoping for something that's a bit larger than another mug but I appreciate your advice!

I'm using a latte mug I got for $6 from Pier One. However, you will eventually end up with a scuttle. So why not get one now and be done with it?

If you're interested in a Surrey like these, let me know. I have a couple I'd let go of cheap.

I started with a mug/bowl, but now I almost always face lather.

I got a stainless steel bowl in the pet section at walmart. I really like it because it has some gripper stuff on the bottom and is a nice size. Hair under $5 for it.

I really like these:

I caved in and bought a georgetown pottery scuttle. I'm kind of giddy about about it, we'll see what happens.

If you haven't see the Badger and Blade custom mug that's going to be auctioned on Monday I figure in the very rare event I win (I'm hoping I can just answer the question) I'll just put it in the trophy room right next to my "most improved player" trophy from little league.

Where did you get that?

Two Words. "Warm Lather"

Goodwill or Salvation Army thrift stores hold many such treasures starting at fifty cents

I agree, I tried many supermarkets but couldn't find anything suitable. In the end I had a quick look in a charity shop on a whim and found a perfect shave bowl. I think its original purpose was a ash tray of some sort but the height and width was just perfect. I even noticed an improvement in lather from when I was mixing in a standard coffee mug.

The cost? 75 pence. Possibly the best bargain I've found so far.

K-Mart

they have about 4 different latte mugs for less than $3 I bought 4 of them myself. The mugs are awesome, cheap, and add to making a great lather.
