Where do you find inexpensive designer cologne?

So what is everyones experiences with purchasing cologne off the bay or amazon? generally I can find the cologne i want much much cheaper in those two places than visiting the department stores. My concern is that i'll get "expired" cologne, and the scent will be horrid.

The colognes i like are Versace, Kenneth Kole, Lacoste, John Varvatos just to name a few. They all seem to be much cheaper on the bay and amazon than department stores.

Basically curious if i should or should not be leery about ordering something from them....

I wouldn't touch the bay for any frags unless it's from a reputable seller as there are so many fakes out there. Amazon should be ok. Fragrancenet and FragranceX are commonly used.

frangrancenet, frangranceX, strawberrynet.......They all kind of look alike. Like they are all working together or for the same people, similar names too. They do have good prices tho and look reputable. Basically stay away from the bay i'm getting. good to know.

It's sad, becaus there are probably a lot of good people selling legit stuff on eBay, but fragrance falls into an "easy to try and con people" category. Yes, I'd avoid the Bay for frags. Scentiments, Fragrancenet, Beauty Encounter, FragranceX are all sites that I see cited a lot as reputable. I have used all of them with no issues. Walgreens has some discounted Creeds (online only). I haven't tried StrawberryNet myself, but I see them cited as okay as well. They often have some hard to find stuff.

Amazon is fine too (often using some of the above mentioned sites).

This.
And some ebay reputable sellers won't know they have fakes. Make sure they have a good return policy.
Concerning amazon, I usually only order from sellers who you pay and/or ship through amazon.
Have had good experiences with both fragrancenet and fragrancex.

Although. I bought a couple of good bottles of Dunhill 1934 from eBay and have no complaints. Good juice, no problems with the fragrance at all. I also bought a vintage bottle of Je Reviens for my wife on Etsy and it was nice too. Too nice, in fact. She likes it so much that I'm going to have to invest in a time machine to keep her in it.

I've also had good luck with scentiments. Their selection is inconsistent, but I have gotten killer deals on Creed from them over the past several years. As far as brick and mortar stores go, JR Cigars also offers exceptionally good prices if you have one near you or you happen to pass one in your travels.

If you're in Aurora, you should check Nordstrom's Rack and places like that. Again, it's inconsistent, but you can occasionally find some good stuff. I used to go to the one by the Woodfield Mall, but I think that there is one down in Naperville too.

good tip on the Nordstrom's Rack, google search told me there is one 20 min away i never knew was there.

Now and again pick up the odd bargain at an outlet store here in the UK.
Must admit I have used eBay a few times, mainly as I wanted some scents I just couldn't buy in stores, never had a problem.
