what's your shave creams soaps for the cold wet months

Hi
All

Went out to day and used c&e nomads for my Shave now tonight my face Is sore and dry.
So what are your creams for protection for the wet and cold weather?
Is there any thing else I could use or you use?

Many thanks
Dave

In general, creams with lanolin or shea butter should be pretty good for keeping your skin moisturized in the cold weather. Lanolin creams include Musgo Real, Lavanda, Top Secret. A cream with shea butter is Pre de Provence. A good aftershave balm should help quite a bit as well. Personally, I don't have problems with my skin drying out in general, but when I do get a dry patch I'll just pay more attention to using a balm or face moisturizer in between shaves.

Coconut Oil is the way to go

ohh coconut what about tobs one i know they do coconut ?

tried with mwf to today and that worked a treat :) however i need to change up will try tobs jermyn street tomorrow.

@krusty not to sure will get the balm as not a great fan on the smell.

QCS ASB have nice amount of moisture in them for the dry months as does all of QCS body soaps which I've been using for a year. I had gotten several Caswell Massey body soaps at a half price sale. They are probably the richest and creamy body soaps I've ever used, definitely do not dry out my skin with a good moisturizing affect, plus they smell great.

Even though I use them year round, AOS Sandalwood and Mike's Pine and Cedarwood will be used a lot by me this winter. Sneaking in some Cella every now and then will also be a pleasure. I would recommend all three of those to anyone during the cold months. I believe they all have either tallow or lanolin.

I thought trumpers used coconut oil but TOBS didn't. Then again I never had TOBS I just read that in a head to head comparison.

The only reason is that I have Trumpers, bought it from the BST used though, and I have thought of refilling it (although I am convinced that at the cost it's just not something I'll get again), and I had looked at TOBS since it's like half the price and actually closer to affordable.
The problem is I've read a bunch of threads on TOBS vs Trumpers Coconut cream and I thought that some people like the TOBS scent, but it seemed like Trumpers won pretty unanimously (without price being a factor at least). And I'm pretty sure I read that TOBS had "coconut acid" vs. "coconut oil." I don't know the exact difference, but I would assume the oil would be better for your dry skin than the fragrance?

Your spot on It has acid not oil, however it's nice but again no protection:(
Next payday try and get geo coconut .

I honestly don't see any difference when I use something for the season we are in.
For example, people say proraso is great in the summer...I think it's great any time I use it..

People say mwf is a great winter soap...I think it is great period.

TOBS Sandalwood and Almond, T&H West Indies Limes, QCS Celestial Woods and Providence and one of my faves is Mama Bears Toasted Coconut soap.
