The Clubman brand's Virgin Island Bay Rum is legendary around here. Cheap too. It's probably my most used---warm, spicy, masculine.
My wife's favorite for me to wear is Stirling's Sharp Dressed Man. It's a clone of Green Irish Tweed. Razorock also has a version called Irish Countryside that is nice and a better value when on sale.

VIBR is my go to AS. Inexpensive, smells great and available on Amazon. What more could you want?
Speick Men. It would be hard to go wrong with Proraso Green. Floid is also nice, but the scent is not for everybody (kind of old-fashioned and barbershop powdery).

Ogallala limes and peppercorn bay rum double strength aftershave, Whiskey Woods is a close second
My favorite is Nivea Vanilla & Bourbon. It has a nice clean scent.
I'm with ya on this one .... Proraso a close second if it came down to $/oz
