Just wondering which blade that you use performs really well in all or most of your razors. For me I think of the blades I've tried so far it's the Astra SP. Works well in my Futur, 37C, DE89L and R41. Love Feathers in my 37C but they seem too harsh in my Futur and R41.

The carbon steel single edge blades made by the American Safety Razor company are my favorites.
Astra green or blue.
While the Astra SP is the best all-around blade I've found, I rarely use it anymore. The Astra performs well no matter what razor I put it into, but when paired up with the right tool, both Derby and Feather will out-do the Astra. These are my weapons of choice for 99% of my shaves.
For me, I have what I consider to me my top two, go-to blades in any of my DE razors. The Astra Superior Platinum and the Personna Super (Lab). I think I could select one of those two randomly and not be able to tell them apart in a blind test. The Astra SP can be had for $9/100 and the Labs for $13/100. IMHO, either is a perfect all around, versatile, best value blade. Sharp, smooth, consistent, durable, good price point.
Hmm, Astra SP for me, too. In EJ DE89, '57 Red Tip, '63 Slim.
Wow, it looks like I'm just agreeing with the masses, but Astra really is my choice for versatility , no question. I will also add that it's my favorite blade as well.

Gotta' vote for the Astra SP too! I can get a lot more good shaves from one in my new R41 than I'm supposed to!
The Rapira SS works in all my razors. On a par with the Astra SP.
Voskhod is clearly the best overall blade I've used. it's the only blade I've used that's worked excellent in every razor I've tried it in.
The Astra SP has only worked well in about a third of my razors. I won't be buying any more of those.

Polsilver SI beats Astra SP if cost is not a factor.
I have only been DE shaving for over 2 months now, and, have only tried 7 different blades, but, Derby is my blade!
I know that many peeps think they are crap, but, I Love em'.

'm a crystal man myself.platinum blade. excellent shave for 4-6 days
I personally hate Astra, the two blades I think can't let you down are Red IP and Super Iridium.
Rapira Platinum Lux or Polsilver SI. Works in everything I put them in.
Med Preps. So sure-fire that its almost boring to use them.
