What's the word on Straight Razor Designs shave soaps?

Just ordered a sampler pack. I think I'm going to love the straight tobacco soap. But I was also intrigued that all the scents were single scents. No blending. So now I can see what straight patchouli smells like, frankincense, etc

What'll y'all think about SRD soaps?

I'm looking forward to hearing your opinion on the stuff. That's Lynn Abram's site, right? Guy knows his razors, I would think he'd have come up with a great product before marketing it.

There are certainly some beautiful straight razors, including damascus, in the custom section.

I was drawn to SRD for a pure "smells like a cigar, pipe tobacco, Natural Spirits black" straight up tobacco scent. Yes, I want to smell like a cigar while shaving. A fancy one.:euro:

I poked around a bit and there's some stuff mentioning SRD but it's almost all about straight razors, scuttles, etc, so I figured I'd make a thread asking for opinions from folks who've used it.

Subscribed. I'm not much of a fan of his site, his forum, his videos or him for that matter, but I'm curious about his soaps, and I, too, want to smell like a cigar when I shave!

Disclaimer: I met Lynn recently and we got on well together. That may make me a pariah, but there it is.

I believe that Lynn's business partner, Don, is the one in charge of the soap and it's production.

I have the West Indies Bay soap. It is in the current product rotation. It is a glycerin soap with essential oils only.
Overall, the soap is excellent, especially for a glycerin soap, with great slip. The cushion is not as good as some, but certainly more than enough. The scent is strong on it, and it hangs on my face all day, and compliments bay rums nicely.

I had the Frankincense one it was good, just got on a tallow soap kick and sent it to my son, he likes it a lot

i think SRD has a lot of quality products and sister site is very informative, but find B&B a friendlier place
