What Thayers Witch Hazel to buy next??

I am almost out of Thayers Lavender Witch Hazel, seeing its the only one scent I have bought from them, I figured I would try something new for my next bottle...

So my question to you all is which version of Thayers witch hazel should I try next?

Thanks in advance!

Save yourself the money and just get T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel from Walmart. It's a fraction of the cost and is real witch hazel.

After dropping $20 on Thayers that I don't use much because of all my aftershave splashes and balms, my next witchhazel will be T.N. Dickinson's for about $3.

I haven't tried Dickinson's, but it has gotten so many positive comments that I have to agree with the previous poster. I use witch hazel for its effect, so I really don't care about the scent (as long as its pleasant). That said, I have the astringent (original scent) and the medicated superhazel (which is marketed as an irritation remedy and contains camphor), both are fine products.

I use Thayers Original with aloe vera and alcohlol free. I use this as a finish product and like it. But if you are looking for a zing, get one with alcohol.

Thayer's Alcohol Free Toner (Rose Scent) has a longer lasting and superior scent than the Lavender from my experiences. They also have a Cucumber, Unscented, Scent Free plus those which contain alcohol.

Humphrey's is another excellent product.

Dickinson's has a Yellow and a Blue label and the alcohol percentage is 14 and 10 per cent.

All are excellent products, you can't remain in business for 150+ years if you are not doing something right.

+1 on the rose - very very nice!

also, I recently bought a bottle of Lemon-scented Thayer's - that too is nice. Pleasant, subtle, refreshing!

I'm a big fan of lemon thayer's.

Dickensons, to me, has too much of an earthy scent to it.

vitacost.com has thayer's for around $5 /bottle. best price I've seen on line. all orders with them are 4.95 shipping regardless of order size.

That's an easy one- get the rose.

Dickinson's works fine, but smells like crap.

Thanks all, I might try Lemon or Rose...

I read a few other posts about Dickinson's today. Sounds like you can cut the stink by mixing with either essential oils or other AS's. Since its cheap I might have to buy a bottle as well.

Wow! Who paid $20 for a bottle of Thayer's? Mine cost $7. As to the question about the Superhazel: the ingredient is camphor, not peppermint. Its marketed as a skin irritation remedy (didn't I already say this?) and topical pain reliever. In the hand, it feels slightly more viscous than the astringent. I checked the label and it contains their witch hazel extract and aloe vera. I'd describe the scents as light and not unpleasant.

Best way to know is to buy the sampler.

My skin type finds the astringent with 10% alcohol too drying. Rose and Lavender are both good, but I tired of the scent by the end of the bottle. I'm on my second bottle of original Alcohol-free toner and still going strong. Cucumber is my next purchase so I can't comment on that one.
