My first couple of suits were 3 button. But when I was in the market for a new one this past year I tried on a 2 button and a 3 button one day and the 2 made me look a few inches taller and a bit thinner then the 3. So that is what I wear now.
I love the look of DB, just not sure I could rock it.
I liked double-breasted sport coats when I was in HS and college, because I had the build to pull it off. Now that I am much heavier, not so much. Two-button single for me.
3 button side vents and narrow lapels. I like the top button to be barely visible as it rolls into the lapel. Black or Navy...no pinstripes.
Here's my question. What's the deal with the latest style of making the jacket short?? A man's suit coat should be the length of being able to curl your fingers with his arms at his sides.
I know it's supposed to be the "Mad Men" look but I've seen countless movies/TV and photos from that era and men's jackets were not that short.
