You might be able to produce some usable lather if you rub the puck on a wet boar. Just be careful because I doubt a boar would like MWF any more than I do.

What those guys are saying. Boars were made for soaps but short lofted badgers work pretty good also. A great boar is so inexpensive, you should have one around.

The brush doesn't really matter. MWF likes to be wet and it doesn't like to be in a rotation.

"Charge" the soap by putting a couple of tablespoons of water on the puck and let it sit overnight. Use every day. Load your brush of choice until it can't hold any more product.

I have heard that Mitchell's Wool Fat is very picky with the brush you use on it. What brush works best for you when using MWF?

Well, at this point there are 28 votes and, except for pure badger, things are not wildly skewed in any one direction. This should tell you something.

Wow. I use mine in rotation (maybe once a week? twice, max?) and never wet the puck! Still consistently my best performer, even vs. Pen's EF (the second-best soap I've tried )

I agree the Fat likes lots of water, though--one reason, imo, that it gives such a great shave.
