I’ve done pretty well with staying in control. I just got a notification yesterday that it was my 7th anniversary in the Brown Leaf. I have 2 Tinskys, 3 Larrysson, 1 DR Franc (soon to be 2 with LE), 1 Brian Orton, and 1 Peterson. Of course, 4 of those have been since last December.

On edit: the 4 are the Peterson, 2 Franc’s, and Orton.
I have stepped on the gas a bit, but may have to let up for a bit- I am eyeballing a Córdoba C7 classical guitar. No danger there.
Going on 5 months (it was Christmas week when I ordered the Peterson). So, 0.8 pipes a month.
I have concentrated more on tobacco than pipes, until recently.
