What's new

What is this bug?

I opened the blinds on the front window of my house and found these bugs on the window, window frame, and blinds. Probably 15-20 of them (it's a big window). Can anyone tell me what they are? My fiancee thought maybe earwigs, but I don't think so.

Yeah, looks like an earwig to me, but its hard to tell without a close-up.

If it is, earwigs are ugly little bugs, but harmless.

An application or two of indoor/outdoor insecticide spray should keep them out of the house.

Looking closer, I think it's actually two bugs mating. Based on this link, I'm thinking they might be Plaster Beetles.

Here's an enlarged version of the picture

They look like Box Elder bugs but the coloring is different. The ones here have reddish orange and black stripes on the wings instead of silver wings.

They're too small to be Box Elder bugs, each one is only 1-2 millimeters long. Sorry, I wasn't clear on the length earlier and the pictures don't show anything for comparison.
