What is a good Aftershave for the money

What is a good aftershave that has alcohol and is moisturizing to the face. And also as far as the money goes, it has to be economically feasible.

I had Aqua di Gio, it was awesome and smelled great but at 70 dollars i don't know about buying it. Thank god the previous one was a gift.

After much thought about a "Stan The Man"-style thread:lol:, I'll just suggest you pick up some Aqua Velva. There's a reason it's been on shelves for as long as it has.:thumbup1:

Saint Charles Shave and Proraso are great, regardless of price (they also happen to be very reasonable!).

Speick is really good stuff. Moisturizes and heals better than most other aftershaves that I've tried, including Musgo :001_tt2:. Musgo irritates my face.

Aqua Velva is good stuff but I don't think that it moisturizes as good as Speick.

Speick is outstanding, but at ~1/10 the price, I can live with the AV:wink2:

AV is easily available, as is Skin Bracer and their store brand generic equivalents, all of which should be descent in most regards.

The Dollar General, if you can find one, carries Barbasol products which are, hands down, the best dollar (or two) spent on aftershave anywhere, any time.

La Toja is available from Vintage Scent which has a nice, light cologne scent, and which contains their famous mineral salts for skin conditioning. At about $17 for 150ml, it's cheaper than most non-locally-available splashes per unit volume.

Lastly I'd have to suggest Speick. Probably the best aftershave I've ever used, and worth every penny of its asking price.

As others have said, Aqua Velva. I prefer the musk over the original. There is also Brut, and Clubman Virgin Islands Bay Rum. Which is great. Old Spice (not the original) is also a good buy economically. Many of us don't prefer the current scent of it. Family Dollar has a knock off of it for $1.60 a bottle. Which is actually a knock off of the original.
Generally speaking it is all a matter of what scent you prefer. Or SWMBO prefers. And only you and she will know that.

Nivea Cool Kick splash is the only after shave I can think of that is cheap, has alcohol, and is moisturizing. Aqua Velva and Booster's are both cheap and good, but not very moisturizing.

some excellent recommendations in this thread, especially Speick.

However, on bang for the buck alone, I've got to go with the Booster's line of aftershaves. 14oz. for $10 and a variety of scents. I have the Iced Lime now and it is quite nice.
