What's new

What Gillette Tech do I have? (no patent number/serial, Pictures included)

Yeah I'm new here. I also assume that this is kind of post is fairly redundant, but I've done some searching and can't seem to place this razor. My brother had told me it was probably war era, due to the lack of a patent number. I would love if someone could give me exact specs on what the razor is and what years it could have been made in. Any help is GREATLY appreciated! Pictures are attached.

Specs;

nickel vs. gold handle
Top piece has diamond Gillette emblem
Bottom has "PAT NO. ON PKG.", and on the underside has "REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.", with another Gillette diamond logo, and "MADE IN U.S.A."

It was bought from a 'Savers' thrift store for $10. I shave with it and love it.

Thank you for any and all help!

p.s. I'm very intrigued by this forum.... I feel like I may start collecting razors now.

You have a Ball end Tech from the late 40s 1946-1950 I believe.
With a sharp Feather blade the are great for many.

With no date code and "PKG" instead of "PACKAGE" it would narrow down to 1950 production.

Welcome to B&B . . . I'm sure you will find other razors making their way into your shave den!! Enjoy them all . . . but your first vintage razor will always be special to you!
