What does "HD" stand for? As in Merkur HD

I've got 2 Merkurs, one being the HD, 34C. I thought "HD" was just a designation for that model but does it stand for something that applies to other razors as well?

The razor is labeled "34C" for the chrome version or "34G" for the gold version by Merkur. The term HD stands for "heavy duty". The term is commonly used by wet shavers but isn't officially the name of the razor.

I believe the "C" Stands for "Classic" and the "HD" Does in fact stand for "Heavy Duty"

C = chrome, G = gold, HD = Heavy Duty. The first two come from Merkur as part of the razor's model number. "HD" is just a nickname, like Foyle said.
