What's new

What do you think of my new shave mug?

I am mostly a facelatherer for various reasons but once in a while I like to bowl/mug lather (especially with my shavemac).

I just purchased this mug. I have been looking for a bigger mug for some time and finally found one. It was $3.99 so I couldn't pass it up.

What do you all think?

It is the biggest mug I have ever seen. I think it might be too big since my brush can/does lay on its side.

Do you guys think it is too big?

They had some that were slightly smaller and were tapered more at the bottom but they were $1 more (I know I am cheap) and had a white inside (I like darker insides so I and see my lather better.

I use a bowl about that size, just not quite as deep and I find it is perfect. Just wish mine had a handle like yours!! well when I drop it, I'll find one with a handle..

Personally I am a fan of bigger mugs, I find it easier to mix and build a lather.

Yeah that is why I wanted a bigger mug and I used to see them all over but recently they seem harder to find.

Would it annoy you if your brush falls on its side because of the mug being so massive?

That looks perfect! Just the right size. I use a stainless bowl that's slightly larger than that. Sometimes it's a pain to soak the brush in, but when I'm lathering, I stand the brush on end next to the sink.

I use a ziploc cup cause Jimbow broke my old bowl. I would like a bigger bowl/mug to lather in. They don't have anything available here though.

It does a little when mine falls in the mug and I just do what Walter does and stand it up on the sink between passes

It's just about the exact same size dimestore coffee mug I was using, before Max Cat decided he didn't like it . . .:frown:

Now, it is stainless steel and nowhere near tall enough.

I like it a lot but I just don't know if the mug a bit smaller but still a lot bigger than my old mug would be better. It is $1 more though.

I guess it will cost me about $1 in gas to get to the store. But if I would like that mug better then I guess it is worth it.

Well, if you have the bathroom counter space and like what it does, I think you're home free, myself.

It is a very handsome mug

^ At first I thought...wow...the OP must've shaved his head! Look at all them hairs in his cream!.....then i saw the handle:lol::lol::lol:.

That is a massive, manly mug there.

Very nice looking mug, but I am partial to using metal bowls. When I see that mug it makes me thing Sunday morning coffee without getting up for a refill.:w00t:
