Tuesday’s shave……
IMG_6985.jpeg

A super shave today with the USA red tip and Perma Sharp blade. SV opuntia and the mighty mini Omega boar, a lovely little brush that I always use with the hard soaps.
Simple 2 passer … WTG and ATG plus neck touch ups. Perma Sharp worked very well in this old classic. Used a Nacet last time it came out and was a bit disappointed…this was much better.
Excellent in fact, a DFS++. 10/10

Rating: 10/10

This is by my standards a perfect shave. It was amazingly smooth and yet close. While I favor shave soaps, I have always liked Cremo from the first time I tried it and today was a reminder of just how good it is. The Rockwell is universally praised and the Perma-Sharp has become my favorite blade.
I'm off to have breakfast with my best friend of 60 years and this was a wonderful way to begin the day.

Razor : Yaqi SLOPE slant 316SS with a Yaqi brass nickel coated handle. Mfg 2023>, tame mid range. This razor works well when dialed in and even better with a fresh blade. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gillette 7oClock SP(1) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Yaqi Musketeer Rapier, nice unique scent that is addictive with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi Sagrada Familia 24mm Tuxedo knot. Excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Short handle for folks who like that.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi Musketeer Rapier + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).

Tiny Tuesday Morning Shave

Rating: 9.9/10 Almost Perfect

This could easily be a travel set up. Amazing shave from a 50 Year Old System. The blade used in the Bonded System was rumored to be the legendary Super Sword Edge from Wilkinson. This cartridge felt like an AC blade or an Injector. Heavy and secure on the face.

This is the second shave in a row using my Timeless SS SB .68 razor with a Wizamet blade. The shave was close and smooth. The next brush in my rotation is a synthetic: Omega Hi. I find this to be an unusual brush for a synthetic: it has a substantial backbone. The vintage Williams is on its 111th use. I don’t see that many more shaves with it. A perfect shave. Have a wonderful day, folks.

One day growth.

Same setup as yesterday. Used the Variant on setting 2 (about 4/10 - as it goes by halves). Light strokes. Very close shave. Again, almost no stubble.

Soap Commander Respect - love the scent. I don't know if it's the patchouli, but it's a bright, yet warm scent.

Three passes and one clean up. The ATG pass felt much better.

No nicks.
No cuts.
No irritation.

DFS++

Cheers!
