Sunday morning shave

Razor: Challenge Razor Works
Brush: Boar
Soap: Proraso red
Post: Brut

A great Sunday morning shave. Revisiting the Proraso soaps, good performers and excellent value price. Diminutive Col.Conk brush still produces. Basking in Brut. Cheers!

Lazy Sunday morning shave!

Soap: Stirling Pumpkin Spice
Razor: Gillette NEW LC
Blade: 7 O'clock SS (5)
Brush: Omega Pro 49
Aftershave: Old Spice

First time using this brush with Stirling. I generally use it with Proraso. Lather was perfect, and wasn't much work at all. it still cracks me up how big the splay is with this thing, but it just works, ya know?

8/10. Blade is starting to show its age. I may dump this one sooner than I usually do.

Originally wrote Stirling as "Stella". Got weekend beers on the mind, apparently!

Brush: Elite Razor 28mm HMW, Washington Redskins Handle
Cream: Trumper Violet (the good, old scent)
Razor: Gillette Fatboy, setting 6
Blade: Voskhod
Post: Zingari Man The Explorer Recovery Splash

8/10: Fine shaven but pretty meh overall. These older products don’t serve me as well as they used to, at least by comparison.

24-hour beard

Gillette postwar fat-handled Tech (the yellow gold one), w/ a Feather blade (3)

Trumper's Almond Cream

APShaveCo synthetic brush

Stirling SDM aftershave, Assured lotion, Clubman powder

A quick 1-to-2 pass shave to get back in my T-Th-Sat routine. No shower, no face towel; just washed my face and throat, face-lathered the cream, and sliced away. Pass 1, WTG everywhere; pass 2, ATG on throat, and a litlte cleanup to the left side of my neck. No irritation or nicks, clean and comfortable. The Tech displays its worth again. Verdict: 9.4.

Razor: 1966 Gillette Slim Adjustable, set on 3 today
Blade: Czech Blades Tiger Platinum Stainless (4)
Brush: RazoRock Barber 24 synthetic
Soap: Williams Mug Soap
Rating: 9.0

Early, early morning shave today on less than one day of growth. DFS+ after WTG/XTG/ATG passes; no nicks or irritation. Since it was less than one day of growth, I dialed back from 5 to 3 on the adjustment. I couldn't get to BBS, which I think could be one of the following reasons: 1. I should have left the adjustment set to 5 because 3 is too mild, or 2. The Tiger Platinum blade has lost its edge and needs to be replaced, or 3. all of the above.

That’s probably my favorite-performing Tech.

MacaRoot Mon 19th SE 4th SOTD
Cream MacaRoot & Aloe
Brush Yaqi 24mm Aqua Tuxedo
Razor GEM Push Button
Blade GEM Stainless 4th
Post & Aftershave
Ice Water & Special Thayers Mix
Hyaluronic & MacaRoot Aloe Gel
Nice pleasant lather from the cream. More than required.
4th shave with this SE razor paired with blade is much more smoother and comfortable especially for wtg & atg. Not so for atg....as can feel the blade is kinda skipping rather than cutting cleanly. All in it was an enjoyable 3passes with DFS+ results. Better than the previous shave with same razor and blade. Good post and aftershaves. Rating 9/10

On holiday last week in a small cottage/bothy in the country so kept the same travel set up for the week. La Toja performed as good as on my last holiday with it and I got three close/comfortable shaves with a BIC bladed in my Edwin Jagger.

Shave Rating: 7.5/10
Really started to like the Mondial Boar brush as it breaks in. Nice soft tips but with a decent backbone to it and the weight of the aluminium handle makes a nice change from the lighter plastic handle of my Omega Pro 49.
Decided to try a GSB in my Super Speed but similar to when I've tried this blade in the past the first shave felt a bit rough and prickly in some areas. Some minor irritation post-shave and a bit of sting from the Alum block. Hopefully it smooths out over the course of the week (although I'll probably jump back to the BIC I was using on holiday last week for tonight's shave to avoid irritating the irritation)
