Razor: Fine Superlite Slant
Blade: Bolzano Superinox (3)
Brush: Maggard Plissoft Synth, 24mm,
Bowl: Stirling Collapsible

Lather: Olea Soapworks Canard Shaving Soap, ROUGERE

Post: Dickinson's Enhanced Witch Hazel,
The Shave Den English Fern Aftershave Splash

A near total BBS. The Fine Superlite Slant is not my favorite slant but it's fine'uf. With the Bolzano blade it made me clean-shaven with no nicks or weepers or razor burn. The soap lathered great in the Stirling Collapsible bowl. The Maggard Plissoft works great and painted the Lather wonderfully. The aftershave witch hazel and the English Fern splash topped it all off just right.

Blade #2 Shave #5 MdC Monday
Pre: Proraso blue
Brush: AP Shave Co silk smoke fan
Lather: MdC Veryver
Blade: Unobtainium Polsilver(5)
Razor: K3 Gillette Slim (set at 5)
Post: Thayer’s, PAA ClubGuy star jelly

Only a slight loss of smoothness but really not getting it done anymore. I wish all blades died this gracefully. No tugging or fighting back, just a lot of buffing required, resulting in some irritation on the neck. This new (to me) slim is a big improvement over the last one I tried a few times. Smoother, but still a couple of small weepers. This is likely turning into a 3 and done blade. Even when it’s not cutting so good anymore it’s still polite about it, which I appreciate. Still, gotta know when to fold ‘em eh Kenny?

Tuesday morning shave, two-pass effort, 9+/10, no irritation, no weepers, clean and smooth, DFS:

Pre-shave: shower
Razors: Occam's Razor- two-dot head- fine shave today
Blade: Feather Pro AC (6)- dulling some, maybe I'll change it out tomorrow
Brush: Simpson Berkeley 46 in best- small, soft, and getting very sweet- this lower-cost little brush is a surprise winner so far; it's as soft as many "higher" level brushes, holds enough lather for my shave, has good flow through
Soap: ARKO from a tin- I put a stick in a tin to try and it worked fine; I'll cut it into medallions and add some from a leftover stick to actually make a puck today
Post-shave: cold rinse, Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS, felt like a little menthol today

Have a great day!

Dirty Donuts are so Good.
I would say it had to be a 10/10 today.

Had about a weeks growth, so after a hot shower, I lathered up with Arko and a nice scrubby mixed hair Omega Mighty Midget; and mowed it down with an Italian made Barber’s Shavette and a fresh Wizamet IS.

Whiskers just fell off my face from fear as the sharp Russian blade approached, leaving behind a soft, smooth and younger face for this old man.

Finished it off with a great splash of the cold & limey Bootlegger’s Artic Lime Blast! BRrrrrrr! :)

Just a budget but reliable shaving soap that works...nice! Over-did a little today...
Another SR shave in the books! Razor's edge with pasted balsa strop is quite smooth and comfortable...while not efficient enough due to my techniques, I am satisfied in 3passes for a surprisingly dfs to ccs results. Rating 9.4/10

Gosh this was nice today:
tempImageaphdKm.jpg

Brush: PAA Green Ray
Lather: Stirling Eucalyptus Mint -- although not with as nice a label as @LMcC (!) it was an awesome soap today.
Blade: Schick Proline (6)
Razor: Vector
Balm: Duke Cannon Ice Cold

I took extra time painting the soap on today, enjoying the natural cooling of the ingredients. Wow, what a refreshing lather!
One weeper on the side of the chin which closed at the final rinse. I got even closer results than usual today; I'd have to call it BBS-. This blade has given a couple of particularly excellent shaves. Rating: 9.7/10.
