What did you hone today?

Taking a new stone for a quick test drive.
4k Naniwa to jnat, with just a really light amount of tomo slurry.
After a short dilution it was done.

It's still early, but this seems to be just as advertised. Fast and fine.
Maybe a harder steel takes more effort.
The stone had a really nice feel/traction.

Trying out this new tomo. Went Shapton 3k, 6k to this. I followed @H Brad Boonshaft's advice and lapped the 6k a few times on the 140 plate - seems a lot better behaved now! Then on to the jnat. The tomo slurry feels pretty coarse and cuts fast, but soon smooths out nicely. Diluted down to water, stropped, and got a cracking shave, definitely not underdone edge. I'm thinking this tomo might even work straight from 3k.
