I came across complete traveling shaving set at an antique dealers shop and unfortunately I didn’t have my phone on me plus I was quite intoxicated, so the piece(s) in question will likely not be easy to identify!
The case is chrome(ish) – very good condition and had a shoe brush (or was it a shoe brush?!) on the bottom side of it. The case was more cylindrical / round than square. It had a small sliding latch to open it up. It was in very good condition and the dimensions were probably about 6 inches long and 2-3 inches tall…so rather large.
Inside contained 4 separate holding areas. First was the handle to a Gillette DE, second was the head (2 piece head – 3 piece total DE) with a vintage blade underneath the head. The 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] holding area contained a very small brush-like device (almost seemed like it was for makeup) with a cylindrical handle probably 2 inches long. The fourth slot / item was another cylindrical stainless/chrome device that came apart in two pieces and had some dried up green or whatever color stuff was in there – likely a holder for whatever soap/makeup the brush was for.
As I can recall the piece screamed quality, quite heavy and had a solid locking mechanism as my drunk *** needed help to open it up.
To the Shaving Idiot Savants of B&B -- I hereby call for your assistance in identifying what I had came across until I can get back out to the antique dealer sometime this weekend.
Sorry for the wall of text and I hope we can figure this out together! BTW he said he would let it go for 50 but had no clue that it even opened.
