What's new

What colognes are outdoors smelling maybe a little piney?

Trumper's English Fern, Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet and English Fern.

This morning I tried a sample of something sent to me from Colonial Drug that is nice and woodsy, but for the life of me I can't tell the name of the fragrance. All I can read is "Fall Green" and then it looks like the word "war." It's a really nice scent. If anybody can decipher what it is from that description let me (and the OP) know.

Too bad B&B cologne is history. I see you added "piney" to the query. The most obvious pine note I know of is Blenheim Bouquet.

One I've always really liked is Azzaro Visit, it is kind of a bit spicy, peppery almost but it just reminds you so much of standing in some forest on a cool day. Really great stuff.

Really evergreeny stuff is kind of rarer today though I think because Polo green played that one out so badly that it's probably best avoided.

OH! Almost forgot...

Not piney, but Musgo Real Oak Moss has a great "fresh from mowing the lawn and tossing hay in a forest" smell.

Just by the way: especially if the lovely missus is looking for a 'green' scent - after ten years GAP just reissued the fantastic GRASS fragrance. And it smells exactly like its name, freshly cut grass.

I've seen men use it before, it's not exactly a woman-only-scent.
