What brand of Witch Hazel to buy in England?

Have been looking around and see that witch hazel is good after a shave, but was wondering which brand in England i should buy?I see that Thayers and Dickinson's are good in America so whats our equivalent here in the UK? :001_smile

I picked up a bottle of distilled, alcohol-free witch hazel at Boots (Boots brand). I like it. It has a sort of smoky fragrance, but I got used to it after a couple days. I actually like the fragrance now. I put some in a little atomizer (also from Boots). That makes it easier to apply (spray on hand, rub hands together, apply to face), rather than trying to pour it from the glass bottle. A little goes a long way, and the bottle should last quite a while (perhaps a year?). The atomizer also makes it great for travel. I follow the witch hazel with either aftershave or balm, depending on how dry my skin is that day.

If the Boots is alc-free you might want to go with that. Especially if you are using it in addition to an alcohol based aftershave.

Thayer's is witch hazel with a bunch of other stuff like aloe, glycerin, vitamin e, etc. There might not be an equivalent in the UK, but it might be possible to mix up your own homebrew from drugstore supplies that's close enough.

Dickinsons is the same as generic witch here in the US. Distilled witch and 14% alcohol. I'm sure some drugstore/chemist brand is very close in the UK.

I should have mentioned that I don't have any shaving products with alcohol in them. I'm not sure about witch hazel brands that contain alcohol in the UK.

I just got a bottle of the Boot's Witch Hazel that Andy's recommended. Will be trying it later. Just checked the ingredients: Distilled Witch Hazel (Hamamelis Water) B.P.C. 100% v/v.

I've recently been using the Witch Doctor gel (readily available from Tesco, etc.) that seems to work pretty well. It's non-greasy and absorbs quickly.

I had a look in town(only a small town) and found some distilled witch hazel at a chemist, says the same ingredients also, didnt manage to find a spray bottle though, wish we had a poundland or something lol was £1.39 for 200ml bottle so not too bad on price :001_smile
