Yes, I thought so…

I read reviews awhile back, and I remembered reading it has a citrus note. I also thought it had a little bitterness. My wife said it is sweet. It’s a good sipper, but I would rather a more traditional vermouth over ice with lemon. I’ll be trying it in a Manhattan soon.

Edit: apparently the citrus is grapefruit

First time ever that I had proper Margaritas. Unfortunately on a rather cool Viennese evening but they must be da bomb at a sunny beach!

I just mixed a long drink this afternoon:

3 oz — Derrumbes San Luis Potosí mezcal
1¼ oz — freshly squeezed lime juice
¼ oz — Kroger apple juice
3 dashes — Bear Root Bitters ginger habanero bitters
1 "mini" can — Canada Dry ginger ale

You know what's even better? Coming inside from an afternoon on the beach, then mixing a Margarita and taking it outside to sip with some snacks.

BTW Negroni with a smokey Mezcal instead of Gin works very well!

My play on a mezcal Negroni:

2 parts mezcal
2 parts Cynar
1 part sweet vermouth
1 part dry vermouth

I haven't settle on a name for it yet, but I keep coming back to Cymezcaroni.
