I'd wear none. You never know how even the nicest scent will hit some people; they may not even know. Better safe than sorry, y'know?

It might be safest not to wear any or to wear a light clean-scented balm. Scent is subjective and what most people like, the interviewer might not. I also knew someone in HR who was sensitive to certain colognes. Some applicants would get very short interviews.

Some people find scents irritating. Use a small amount of something that doesn't smell so much and rinse with cold water after.

Alex.

Go with a bit of Brut.

Nobody ever expects it - but they will vaguely recognise the scent. Youre sitting there smelling reliable, nothing better.

A scent is one of the quickest ways I know of sabotage an interview these days. HR people are there to cull out the people that won't fit in and many employers are tightening down on colognes that can be worn in the workplace. Better to go without.

If you feel the need too, make sure you do so subtly.... Theres nothing worse than sitting in the interview and all you can smell is your aftershave/cologne; because deep down you know they can smell it too!

A subtle, quickly fading aftershave if you must; but do so only for your own personal benefit; definitely no cologne. Don't wear anything that the interviewer may detect. Many workplaces discourage perfumes and colognes.

Smell 'neutral' I would say...wear deodorant but no cologne. I didn't hire a teacher once because his Eternity for Men almost killed me.
