What's new

what a surprise ! chinese razor good!

So i was shopping around and i saw this razor called a big roc, for 4.99 And i though *** it what is five in this day en age ,
It came with 10 supermax razor blades to, For the price cant go wrong eh? so first looks of the razor ( it a tto btw) It looks like a weishi slightly heavier
I was kinda dreading it cause it feels cheap, Kinda light, not what im used to, Got the lather sorted took some deep breathes hoping i dont shred my face with this razor lol
I did one passed an i was extremely amazed How aggressive the razor was it took most of my three day whiskers off in one pass give or take a slight tugg but what you expect from a razor made from china lol I do have to say Im every happy with this razor it even might become my routine shaver who knows close and comfortable shave

I used one early on, not sure if it was my inexperience or not but it was aweful, think i tried it a couple of times before giving it away.

One Big Roc can be extreme on agressiveness. I like it, but it does bite if your not careful. This is a small tiwst to open model in a black and white box.

From what the OP described (taking three day's growth off in one pass) it sounds very aggressive. Be careful on the ATG pass. I find that aggressive razors nick less than mild ones but I am a very experienced DE shaver and have heavy beard growth.

The tugging may be your blade. Supermax is not the most liked blade, I find Racers, Rapiras and Zorriks to be terrible blades as well. Surprisingly for about the same price Astra blades (I use green but the blue isn't bad either) are excellent, I find them better than even the Personna blades. Supposedly Astra blades are made in the old Gillette plant in Russia but I haven't tried Gillette branded blades in decades so I don't know if Astra's quality holds for their other blades. Polsilvers and Super Iridiums are also supposedly made in the same plant as Astra and the Gillette blades, they are reputed to be excellent but at $40 a case I won't be buying (Astras are less than $10 shipped on Amazon).
