I've been wetshaving for about three months now and have been using the same soap, Classic Shavings house brand, the whole time (my girlfreind thought it would be a nice gift to get me a bunch of it as a gift.)
A few days ago I noticed I was about to run out so I stopped by a local store that stocks British shaving soaps and creams, and thanks to a few comments on this website I picked up a cake of TOBS sandlewood, mainly for the difference scent.
This morning was my first shave with it and all I can say is WOW. I went through my normal prep and while before I would get just enough lather to get me through a three pass shave, now I have lather just just exploding out of the bowl! I couldn't belive how much of a difference a better quality soap could make.
I really just wanted to stop by and thank you guys for the reviews and comments. The tips I've picked up here (not just the soap) has taught me so much in the last 3 months. Keep up the great work!
