Has anyone tried this brush The "Monarch" High Mountain White Silvertip Badger Shaving Brush ?
Never read anything about Wet Shaving Products until I wandered into them on Amazon.

I have a brush with a handle from Bob of Elite Razors and one of their 'superfine' knots. I really like the brush, but I was expecting a slightly stronger backbone and the tips to be a little softer.
That being said, it is still a fantastic brush.

Appears to be a quality brush..

By that I mean, on another "shave forum", there is quite a bit more discussion about the WSP brand of brushes.. some reviews, pictures, etc.

I'm not going to directly point you there, in respect to this forum, however a very quick Google search, should lead you in the right direction. :)

If backbone is what you are after, I would try one of WSP's Stubby line. I have the Stubby Manchurian Mountain Badger and it is an excellent brush. It may cost a few rubles more, however.

I bought this one back in March and it was my entry to lathering with a brush. It has been my trusty brush for the last few months. It is super soft and has zero scritch at all. At first I thought that it wasn't stiff enough to soap lather because I couldn't get much out of my Conk glycerine pucks, but tonight as a test I tried it out on a sample of Shaving Yeti's Columbian Necktie. As you can see from the picture I raised a respectable lather in my palm in no time flat, so my previous experience with the Conk was probably my inexperience.

With as much lather as in the picture it is a bit too floppy. But loaded with a little less it has a nice smooth and soft feel.

I contacted the Amazon store owner about doing a second brush and something he said led me to think his knots come from TGN ( I asked if he could put black bristles in a particular handle, he said he didn't have any black of that size in stock but if I found a TGN knot that I liked he would happily order and install it), but I could be wrong.

It shed a few hairs for a while, but at the time I was wringing it dry and squeezing the last lather out. I stopped doing that and the shedding has stopped.

Everything that I have seen pop up on B&B about WSP has been generally negative, but I have liked this brush. The store owner seemed nice enough over email. Aside from wondering if I paid too much, I've been very happy with it.

I don't know why WSP has a bad reputation. I have had nothing but good experience with Lee who owns it. He has replaced a brush that was shedding, event months after purchase. A stand up guy who stands by his brushes.

FYI, have 3 of his brushes in my rotation and 2 more knots getting custom handles made. I hope to one day acquire the stubby HMW too.

I'm not sure..

I've found some times on "forums" there are 'favorites' relative to the forum.

I don't doubt the WSP brushes to be of quality. I'm thinking about the WSP HMW Monarch later down the road. They resell well elsewhere, as well, much like how Simspon brushes sell like hot cakes here on the B/S/T.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Lee and his products, both knots and full brushes. I have a 26mm stubby superfine XD and a 26mm HMW that I put in an RV handle. I just ordered the new manchurian XD. These brushes have been pretty much all I have been using since I purchased them. I have had no issues with shedding or anything else for that matter. I have also been told that he is reasonable with returns on items that show signs of defective performance. I would buy with confidence.

Here are some pics...

I have a WSP pure badger brush and I like it. For $25, the price is right and it lathers well. The badger smell dissipated pretty quickly and over the first ~5 shaves it shed about 5-6 hairs total and then the shedding stopped completely.
