I decided to order myself a fountain pen for my birthday. I read on here that the Pilot Metropolitan was a nice entry level pen. So, I ordered it in Silver Dot with a CON-50 converter. I also ordered a bottle of Platinum blue/black ink. Let the games begin! Get ready for loads of questions gents!

If you are anything like me, you will have to get more and more pens.
I have four now.....it what seems like no time at all. Been looking at other ink colors, nicer paper, etc.

Justin, you probably have one of, if not the, best starter pens on the market. That could last you a lifetime.
Pilot should really give B&B something for all of the Metropolitans they've sold. I think this board accounts for roughly 50% of their sales. 
Congratulations on the new pen! Be ready for FPAD! They are just as addictive as razors!

I also ordered the Pilot Delful Double Knock mechanical pencil. I've always been a sucker for good mechanical pencils so I have a feeling FPAD might strike me down
Welcome, I came here a few months ago and I cannot escape. I heard a rumor after your tenth pen you do a pif and they let you leave. I am only on 2 working pens thanks to a pif I won.

So I haven't even gotten my Pilot and I decided to buy a cheapie Jinhao 750 off the bay. Ya know, for the sake of comparison

Yeah, Justin the Pilot is a nice pen. I got one by winning the Gold Contributor give away. My girlfriend took it over. If you get hooked you will be looking at other pens. I love my Pelikan M200 series pens. Let the fun begin.
