What's new

Well this started out promising... then it got weird

Just a warning this has a hand drawn sketch in a health class... you know where that's going... Mildly NSFW but we're all adults here.

This started out great then got weird quickly...

And yeah I know all about artistic licence and creativity and all that, but I don't remember being an adolescent as being this confusing

I don't get it.

I also viewed several of the short vids that came up as suggestions at the end of this one.

The concept of "Non-Sequitor" seems to be in full force here.

Not quite all of us.

Which is why I said it got weird. A superhero with a straight razor, now that was awesome. A dude in the desert island with a straight scenario, only he was on a raft. It had potential. Then it got... weird.

Anybody who shaves with a straight while lost at sea counts as a superhero in my book!

I also like how he captures the zen esence of thought coming into your head while shaving....and where they may come from....

I bet he used a SS razor, carbon steel dipped in sea water will be devoured by the rust bug.

but what brush did he use?

More to the point what soap, ordinary soap won't lather in salt water, you need special stuff.....

Tom

If you look, it clearly says "shaving cream" on his mug. And it's already nice and frothy and foamy, no need for a brush. Remember, the guy's a super hero!

D'oh.......... mind you though my bowl says Wilkinson yet I have L'occitane ;-)

Tom

Only here would that video prompt this discussion, rather than a perpetual debate between "whoa, deep" and "I don't get it".

Wasn't the shaving the important part?

Who cares if the authors were trying to convey the feelings of angst two boys felt while growing into men. Again, who cares about how the response to the angst would shape their future. The hero in their comic books was shaving with a straight razor, and the razor could talk!!!

Loved it ... right up my alley. Thanks for sharing

I often feel like I am just sitting in a raft waiting for the next shave.

I liked it. Others here seem to have liked it as well.

However, I could show it to the next 50 people I see this week and they would all think it was stupid. Go figure.
