Wedge Blades and handle

I bought these and they came with 3 wedge blades, does anyone know who I could pay to hone them for me, and does anyone have a spare end handle piece for the second razor I could buy, or anymore blades.

Can those use regular single edge razor blades or do you have to use wedge blades in those?

Since "Ambrose" is well known for honing Rolls Razor blades (which are wedge blades are well) I would wager a guess he is the person to contact to hone your blades.

Those are both stunning examples of the early Gem single edge. Congrats!!

You may have luck getting the wedge blades satisfactorily/properly honed by someone, or you can alternatively hunt down a good sharpener such as the Allegro E. I believe Napoleon has one for sale and posted on theoriginalsafety.com. Perhaps it is posted here as well - I think he is also a member here.

They are very nice shavers once you get the blades sorted. The extension piece you seek is not that easy to come by. Unfortunately, this is often the piece that goes missing on these razors as they have sat around over the last 100 years. I could use a couple myself if you get inundated with offers!

If you can't sort out the blades and get shaving with them - I would be interested in taking them off your hands if you would like to move them forward.
