Waterman- Should it Look LikeThis When it Comes to Filling?

Hi I am a new guy on the block walking around these beautiful pavments. I just got this Waterman pen made in France. The barrel shows the following: DM 7.90F. Any info on this (in-expensive pen)? The reason for asking in the first place was really to know how to fill this pen with ink... Is the rolled cloth supposed to be stuffed up into the barrel (the clear one-lying beneath to it) and are you supposed to ink the cartridge (along with rolled cloth)-using a syringe..? (Which I got)
Sorry for newbie question:001_unsur Like I wrote.- I know very little about these small marvels.

Without seeing more pics it "appears" to be one of the older Waterman CF cartridges which have been discontinued for decades.

You can try to find an old CF cart and then keep refilling it.

AFAK no one makes this type of cartridge any longer.

Sorry

EDIT:

Today seems to be your lucky day. there is a BIN on eBay for LOTS of empty CF carts

Post more pics of your pen so that I can be sure you have a CF type pen before you go off and purchase a few obsolete cartridges

i am really sorry for my poor pics here following.. Best that I can DO over here (evening over here). I don´t mind filling the existing cartrdige with a syringe Turtle- no big issue. Now what´s the idea about the "cloth"? Is it a "slow feeder" to nib? Get my picture here non- native speaking people?
Again sorry for pics (and that nasty hair that is trapped with one of them)- and all the stupid questions of course. Amen.

Oh yes, Without the cloth the clear plastic barrel (that holds the ink) runs júst runs freely to the niib. The cloth is suporting as a slow feeder no..?

It looks like a CF cartridge pen to me. Does your cartridge look like this (with metal on one end)?

Or is it plastic on both ends like this one

You may have a modern cartridge (like the bottom one) in an old pen and the wrap is something someone put in to try to make the two work together.

Can you take a picture of the top of the nib? All of the ones you posted show the bottom of the nib. I can tell if it is a CF pen if I can see the top of the nib.

Never seen a Waterman like that. I've seen Taperites that only resemble a 51 but nothing like that.

Does anything other than the cap have Waterman on it? How well does the cap fit?

That is an interesting question.. Well the (Waterman)cap fit perfectly- with a sound "click" when put upon. About Turtles theory about it´s an old pen with a modern cartridge I really don´t know. I don´t think this pen is that old and the plastic cartridge look rather aged as well.
Anyway I stuffed the gauze in the cartridge and filled it with water. Did not feed well so I think Turtle is right when he is saying that this "construction" with a gauze is a home made invention.
Oh boy- I just knew that I really should never buy pens from eBay. Now I have a pen that I don´t know how to even fill.

Thanks fellows! I went down to a pen store and the person who I spoke with (and I know that he knows quite a bit about FPs) told me it´s a Parker 61 with a Waterman cap. Well when checking the web the 61´s nib appears to have a metal piece on the backside of the nib..
Suzuki´s suggestion is excellent however- the X-pens appear to have a silver ring around the barrel- mine has not.
Suzuki: the only markings (apart from the Waterman cap) is DM 7.90 F and also Made in France. As I bought the pen from the german eBay I figured that DM stands for Deutsche Mark. So that would be the sale price then. F must stand for Fine (nib).
I think this must be a Franken pen.. It´s going back unless someone here is interested. I paid EUR 21.50 for it. Probably overpaid.

At that price it should go back.

I've bought several very good used Wateman pens on eBay for around that amount (real ones).
