Watch The Jos. A Bank Closeout Sales This Week-Super Bargains

Gents, I nearly forgot to mention this. Saturday I stopped at the local Jos. A Bank factory store(factory overstocks, not seconds with exceptions) and discovered some REAL bargains. First up I grabbed a full suit for $40. That price is correct. It is not $400 but $40. They have some of their suit models, low end I am sure, on closeout for $69 or so. Everything over the weekend marked closeout was an additional 30% off. It came to $40 and some change. They also had some Johnston & Murphy dress shoes at the same percentage off. Most were marked $89.00 which is a good bargain. The sale price was $60! These are Melton models in black. They have the Optima system and full sewn on leather soles. Certainly not Allen Edmond quality but a huge bargain at that price. So check it out. You may find some great bargains there this week.

Cheers, Todd

Thanks for the tip ... I'll have to swing by my local factory store. Forty bucks for a suit you'd wear in public? Can't beat that ...

Dang, none in New England at this time.

I will watch the website in case one of their 70% off everything sales occurs.

This pair of Melton are made in India. Again, certainly not the quality of the AE Strands I bought in July but very much worth sixty United Sates dollars. The suit was simply too good to pass up at the price. The clothing at these factory stores is a great bargain. Perfect for blue collar blokes like me who only dress better on Sundays or special occasions. They do not sell seconds(as far as I can tell) at the factory stores. They are for moving merchandise that did not sell at the full line stores. They also have a line of suits made specifically for these stores(pretty sure this is what my daughter told me when she worked there) which is obviously no where near their regular upper level retail store lines. Still plenty serviceable for me. The shoes were described to me as seconds but I cannot figure out why. Most likely display models worn only in the stores for fitting purposes. The Melton's I bought showed zero signs of being worn or any obvious defect. Remember, this a Jos. A Bank factory store and not one of their retail stores like you see at malls. They have a web site as well. JosBankFactory
