Want to try soap.

I have only ever used creams before and would like to try my hand at a soap. What would be a nice first choice that would have a "luxurious" feel without breaking the bank?

At about $10 -15 for a full sized puck, anything from Mama Bear's (glycerine), Mike's Natural (tallow) and Queen Charlotte Soaps (tallow) will serve you well. Just pick a flavor and go for it. There are others, but these are my favorites. Happy hunting!

I too like mama bears and mikes. I recommend ordering a few samples from Garry's Sample shop because that way you can try out a bunch of stuff without breaking the bank and having to commit. He carries some top performers.

The proprietary soaps from vintage blades are nice. My wonderful wife got me some D.R. Harris for Christmas and it is also very nice.

QCS, Mike's, Speick, PdP, Cella, MWF, Razorock you'll get more use out of a soap than creams so splurging a little is def worth it

A nice value for an artisan soap is Mike's Natural Soaps. His are a little cheaper than the others generally and the performance is out of this world. Plenty of scents to choose from. Tabac, D.R. Harris, Speick, La Toja.... all in stick form would be a great place to start without breaking the bank. Mike's comes in stick for as well FYI.

For inexpensicve high quality soaps you could try Tabac, Proraso soap, Cella, Mamma Bear's, there are probably others, but for the inexpensive side that's a good start.
