Waiting for the new B&B Essential

I've been using a VDH boar since I started shaving, and I've been looking forward to getting the B&B essential. I just missed out on the yellow. I'm waiting patiently for the next B&B essential. I suppose I could always buy a different one, then get a B&B essential when it comes out... But I just keep thinking it's going to come out tomorrow.

How are the rest of you taking the wait?

Not good. I got antsy and, as a prank, Photoshopped a picture of the purple brush, posted it, and said that it had arrived. Well, people started emailing West Coast Shaving asking when it would be posted on their website! I guess others are impatient too.

When it comes out and available for purchase, are they extremely limited in supply? I am not sure how many B&B members there are, but I assume we'd all want one...at a minimum.

I love purple, and would almost consider buying one except I like really soft brushes and love my Muhle silvertip fiber. Blue handle would be my first choice from the ones pictures above.

I have the blue one, and it's definitely worth the wait.

I was 100% badger until then and poo-poo'd the idea of boar until I tried it.

How are these brushes? I prefer a very soft brush with no "scratch" - my understanding is that boar brushes start out scratchy and . . . may get less so when the tips split?

After 'eons' of being a badger & horsehair / boar mix user...I'm a boar convert!

I found these boars to have knots that are densely packed, has lots of backbone, more 'springy', very soft but still very stiff! In short, a face latherers dream (I exclusively use VDH Scented Luxury Soap)!
Also, I found that these brushes are much more comfortable to hold in my right hand (or for a better word...bear claw), because of the handle.

Ive got a green one. There's a hint of scratch on the front end but once you break it in its as soft as any brush I own. I have two broken in boars and performance wise, they are my favorites. A little commitment up front pays great dividends later

Everyone should have one. Soap killer, lathers up super quick, breaks in really quick for a boar, feels relatively soft on the face, tons of backbone.

I don't need another one. But I'm a Vikings fan and have a yellow one already. So it's tempting.

I have the blue and red and everything said about the character and quality is spot on. I kind of which I had the full set now! The brush is a gold standard in my book.
