Vulfix type # 41

Thx
Both ends to be joined are machined drop dead perfect flat, blind 1/4in hole is bored dead center in each piece about 3/8s deep.
one piece remains centered in the chuck, liberal amounts of epoxy are applied.
Both pces are clamped overnight using the tailstock with a live center.
The blind hole forms a solid epoxy dowel of sorts, you can see no glue lines on my two part handles.

Dude, that is beautiful and thanx for the explanation of the 2 part how-to:thumbup:

Thanx much. I've got some Padauk wood that I'd like to try & combine with various materiels ie., polyester, horn, truestone etc

Thats cool, just do it,need to play with diff adhiesives for diff materials.
Porous stuff like wood I sometimes use Polys, sometimes epoxys.
I did a killer handle for a guy a few years ago, bottom section was fossil Walrus, middle section was a slice of meteorite, walrus cap. That had to be screwed together.
