Vulfix type # 41

Just finished this,Made out of an anciant Ivory British snooker ball,at least 100 yrs old,cream yellowish color shows up all the grain,inclusions etc.
TGN 30mm, grade A knot set at 52mm.End cap is Lignum Vitae.

I would never own a brush like that...first, I couldn't afford it. Second, I'd be afraid to use it for fear of damaging it! :scared:

Honestly, it's a gorgeous work of art. I am soooooo jealous! :thumbup1:

How do you join the wood and ivory together? It looks perfect.

Both ends to be joined are machined drop dead perfect flat,blind 1/4in hole is bored dead center in each piece about 3/8s deep.
one piece remains centered in the chuck,liberal amounts of epoxy are applied.
Both pces are clamped overnight using the tailstock with a live center.
The blind hole forms a solid epoxy dowel of sorts,you can see no glue lines on my two part handles.
