Vulfix 1000 losing bristles

I have a Vulfix 1000 brush that I bought new in December of last year. I've noticed for the past month or so that the brush is losing about 5 or so bristles every time I shave. This can be on my face, when rinsing, or into the shave soap (Taylor of Old Bond Street).

My routine is as follows:

Soak brush in bowl with hot (not boiling, just from the tap) water while I shower (~10min)
Shake off water and dab brush in soap
Build up foam in bowl
Apply three times for three passes
Rinse in cold water, shake off water, and store bristles down in a stand

I shave 3 times a week. Is this normal for a brush to do this? Thanks.

You don't need to soak a brush that long and possibly that has led to your problem. A couple of minutes or less is sufficient, even just running it under the tap water will work. If the brush continues to shed, contact your vendor or Vulfix.
