I just got back from Korea - my wife and I were visiting relatives for the Korean New Year.
I wanted to check out some Korean aftershaves - so before we went my wife helped me find some on a website they have (sort of like Amazon). There were a couple of different kinds made by some of their major cosmetic companies.
I decided to get one made by Vonin called Exprim. It came as both an Aftershave and an Emulsion. The Emulsion is the color of most of my balms so I am assuming that it is a balm and the aftershave is like most of my splashes.
The aftershave only has a slight sting. I have used them for about 1 week and they seem to help my skin out a lot. If I have some slight razor burn it disappears well under 1 hour of putting these on. Both are supposed to contain 13 different natural ingredients (but I have not gotten around to translating the ingredients list yet - my Korean is not that great).
They have the same refreshing scent - not strong but not too light. I don't know how to describe it since I have not really smelled anything similar to it. It is fresh and clean - does not smell flowery, citrusy, woodsy, etc.
They come in nice, attractive 140ml glass bottles. And the price was excellent. Probably about $10 for the two bottles.
I will definitely check out some of the other Korean aftershaves we found in the future. And if you ever run across these then I would definitely recommend them.
